Green Music the Eco-Artist Resource
The music resource site for all those concerned with saving the world, one song at a time, and note by note!
Green Music is an information site for environmental activists that know that art is essential to the progress of humanity as a whole, and that change comes from the heart. Understanding and communication are essential elements of music, and singer/songwriter Randy Todd has long been passionate about bringing respect and love for the beauty of the Earth to his work. Many of his earliest songs, including “Cry Out,” written when he was just 15 years old, demand that we recognize that our roots spring from this planet, and that her health and beauty are intertwined with ours. Even the first verse of that song laments and chastises our insatiable industrialization at such a high cost:
“Once was a green field
Now it’s a busy factory
Inside people are making money
Outside people can hardly breathe.”
And many other green songs were to follow, including the eco-anthem “The Wheel” and the title track from his 1998 CD “Downstream.” For more information on Randy Todd and the Green Art Movement, visit eco-musician.com!
